We are hosting a JOB FAIR for ProHome Health Services Tuesday April 3rd from 1:00pm-6:00pm at our Whitby site!  Are actively recruiting Personal Support Workers in the Durham Region. They are looking to hire for ALL shifts (early mornings, days, evenings and overnights) If YOU are interested, drop into our Whitby office location between 1-6.  Candidates MUST bring in the following:
• Original PSW Certificate
• First Aid, CPR Certificates (level "C")
• Police Check / Vulnerable Sector
• SIN card
• 3 Managerial or Supervisory References

  We will be offering a Resume Workshop from 9:30 – 11:30, and an Interview Skills Workshop from 1:30 – 3:30. Register by calling Employment Services at our Oshawa Office at 905-579-8482.

RESOURCE AND INFORMATION:

John Howard Society offers Resource and Information.  This service is available through our employment resource centres and can be accessed by anyone in the community, regardless of your employment status.

JOB SEARCH SUPPORT:

Job Search Support is also offered within our resource centres. We offer a variety of free employment workshops and other resources that are available right at your fingertips.  For those seeking additional assistance, one to one support and career assessment is also a possibility.  We invite you to contact one of our Employment Counsellors to discuss what option works best for you!

JOB MATCHING, PLACEMENT AND INCENTIVES:

We have devoted Job Developers that have a strong arm in the community.  They continue to work closely with employers and know first hand 'who's hiring' in Durham Region. See how they may be able to help you access the hidden job market.

JOB RETENTION:

We offer skills upgrading and training, mentoring and coaching services and workshops to help you secure and maintain meaningful employment.
