Basic Food Safety Training - Certification

The Food Safety Program is for anyone who works with food—from receivers and
packagers, to cooks, servers, and consumers. Individuals in a variety of industries such as dietary aides, PSWs, nurses, teachers, daycare workers, restaurant owners, movie theater workers, servers, food delivery drivers, grocery store clerks, catering companies, home cooks.

The program covers six key areas:

1. Basic Food Safety
2. Personal Hygiene
3. Purchasing, Receiving, and Storing Food
4. Cross-Contamination and Allergens
5. Time and Temperature
6. Cleaning and Sanitation

With the successful completion of the program individuals will earn a Nation-wide certifications with
province-to-province transference.
